We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Portfolio Company Audit Team as an Audit Manager, working in a rapidly growing area of our auditing & accounting practice. If you have a passion and interest in managing strong client relationships, growing a business unit, and working with leaders who are genuinely invested in your future - this role would be ideal for you! Along with getting to lead in audit and accounting areas such as technical debt/equity structures, complex revenue recognition, business combinations, consolidations, and more, you will also liaise regularly with portfolio company finance teams and their private equity and venture capital parents.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Results oriented mindset focused on meeting all client timelines
- Develop and maintain strong client/investment company owner relationships
- Collaborate with other service lines, including our tax private equity co-sourcing group, advisory, and investment company assurance practices, to develop a go-to-market strategy targeting portfolio company audits
- Must be well versed in understanding private equity and venture capital investment life cycle, including the potential public and private exits of such fund investments
- Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
- Responsible for new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development
- Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects
- Leverage existing investment company relationships of audit, tax, and advisory groups
- Readiness to travel with audit teams as needed based on geographic locations of portfolio companies
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
- 6 years experience in public accounting or related field
- 3 years supervisory experience
- Must have CPA or equivalent certification
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
- Proficient use of applicable technology
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $105,000-$155,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
